Bucky swivels his head to stare at Freddy in response to that harshness. Adia automatically reaches up to soothe his ruffled feathers. She looks properly chastened, even after Freddy's apology and subsequent explanation.
"It's okay," she says in a small voice. Not everyone wants to share their burdens, she'd do better to remember that. No matter how much sympathy she feels for this formerly dead man. "I, um... I don't make it easy. To cheer me up, I mean." She gives him a faint smile and resists patting his shoulder again. "You can still try. Did you meet any of your heroes yet?"
