This time around, she's better prepared for Freddy's dry humor. Anything can happen in comic books, but that sounds a little far-fetched. A machine that converted planets into energy would have made more sense to her.

"We don't have anything like that in our comic books. Oh, but... have you heard of Odysseus? He was lost on his way home from a war for twenty years. He wasn't a surfer, but he did sail a ship, and he had all sorts of adventures." She frowns thoughtfully. "I have met a few people who are fictional in my world. Or, at least, from long-ago myth. I can't imagine what it'd be like to meet someone from a comic book or a movie."
